What is an abacus and why is it important?
The abacus is a traditional counting tool used for basic arithmetic. It's not just about math; learning the abacus enhances cognitive skills, improves memory and focus, and develops quick calculation abilities.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years, whether they are new to the abacus or have some prior experience but wish to refine their skills.
We dont have an Abacus Instrument. Can we still participate?
Yes, you can definitely participate! To ensure that all registered participants can fully engage in the workshop, we provide a basic abacus instrument to each participant two days before the workshop begins. This allows every child to practice effectively during the sessions.
How interactive is the workshop?
We ensure that each child participates actively through various interactive elements like games, quizzes, and breakout room activities.
How many children will be in each session?
To ensure personalized attention and interactive learning, we keep our sessions limited to a small group of students. This allows our instructors to cater to the specific needs and pace of each child.
What if my child misses one of the live sessions?
We understand that schedules can be challenging. Each session will be recorded, and registered participants will have access to the recordings to catch up or for additional practice.
Can the abacus skills learned in this workshop help with school mathematics?
Absolutely! The skills learned through abacus training are directly applicable to traditional school mathematics. They help children understand number concepts better and make mental math faster and more reliable.
What does my child need for the workshop?
A computer or tablet with internet access. All materials will be provided online.
